Builds pre-reading skills. Helps your child practice color recognition, visual discrimination and pattern recognition, which helps them develop the skills they need to read and see the difference between letters.
Reuse them (over and over). Why use printables? Because you get to print them as many times as you want. And repurpose them into a million different activities. Ideas included.
Vibrant colors. Colorful watercolor art keeps your little learner focused and engaged.
Hit developmental milestones. Hands-on learning activity that’s age-appropriate for preschool and early elementary kids.
Compact design. Take them in the car, to the park, in an airplane, to grandma’s house. They go everywhere!
Great motor activity. Fantastic practice to develop their fine motor skills, and I include creative ideas to use these activities in gross motor play too.
The possibilities of using these crab cards are endless. Here are 5 of my favorite ideas to get you started:
Sensory bin. Hide the detail cards in a sensory bin to have your kiddo find them + match them to the corresponding crab card.
Card games. Create a deck of cards by printing multiple sets of cards and play card games like Go Fish, Slap It and Memory. Instructions included.
Scavenger hunt. Hide the detail cards around the room, then find and match them to the crab cards. Great indoor or outdoor game.
Relay race. Little one having trouble sitting to learn? Then get them up and moving with a relay race — running back and forth to match the detail cards to the crab cards. This one is great for group activities.
Decoration. Make a decorative banner with the cards for your kid’s room, nursery, baby shower or classroom.
Parents. If you’ve got a toddler, preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten kid and are looking for enriching activities for them instead of using screen time.
Teachers + educators. Need engaging teaching resources for your classroom? Here’s your unique solution.
Montessori lovers. Perfect for creating hands-on activities at home or in the classroom.
Homeschool parents. Need to supplement a preschool or kindergarten curriculum? Add these to your morning basket or lesson plan.
Gift givers. If you’re looking for a special birthday gift, new parent gift, or baby shower gift that I can guarantee you no one else will be giving.
1. Download. Grab your PDF file, available immediately upon purchase via email and in your account (if you created one),
2. Print. On your home printer, on Letter (8.5″ x 11″) or A4 paper (cardstock paper recommended).
3. Laminate (optional). It’s optional but recommended to preserve color and make your pages last longer, but using cardstock only is fine too.
4. Cut it out. Cut out the activity on the solid gray line.
