A Fun, No-Prep Flower Counting Game Preschoolers Love

A simple preschool flower math activity featuring a counting worksheet and a die, great for easy math activities at home or in the classroom.

Inside: Need a flower-themed counting activity for preschool kids that’s fun, zero-prep, and won’t have you cutting out 47 tiny pieces? Keep reading. 🌸🎲

M y 4-year-old has a radar for any open-ended hands-on activity with tiny pieces and cute pictures. The second he spots one, he’s all in—like a squirrel diving headfirst into a pile of acorns.

But there’s just one problem.

I don’t always have time to craft a 47-piece, Pinterest-worthy learning extravaganza. (You either? Good. You’re going to like this.)

Sometimes I need a super quick, no-prep activity that’s still interactive (and isn’t a worksheet).

Meet the flower-themed roll & cover game. Literally just print and play, while your kiddos work on either counting or math skills. (Also, did I mention it’s free?)

So if you want to grab this game and see how to set up some can’t-stop-playing counting and math games, keep reading.

What Kids Are Learning (While Having Fun!)

This flower math for preschool game is sneaky-smart. While kids are happily rolling dice and covering numbers, they’re also building essential early math skills:

  • Number recognition activities: Helps kids identify and match numbers.
  • Number sense: Builds an understanding of how numbers relate to quantities.
  • Subitizing: Encourages kids to recognize dice patterns without counting one by one.
  • Addition practice: For kids who are ready, rolling two dice makes for a playful intro to simple addition.
  • Fine motor activities for kids: Picking up small objects to cover numbers strengthens those little fingers for writing.
